Krome Wins Druide’s Grand Prize for Entrepreneurship

May 3, 2016 Press releases

At the Gala for the Montreal region’s 18th OSEntreprendre challenge, held on April 28, Krome Services won Druide’s Grand Prize for entrepreneurship, earning a grant of $3000. The winners of each category also received a prize from Druide, which included a copy of its renowned software Antidote.

Druide informatique has been affiliated with OSEntreprendre, formerly known as the Concours québécois en entrepreneuriat, for the last five years. Druide’s principal contribution has been the introduction of the Grand Prize for Entrepreneurship, awarded to the best project from a winner in the entrepreneurship class.

This year, the class received 187 submissions from participants, seven of which won in official categories. Out of these seven winners, the jury for Druide’s Grand Prize for Entrepreneurship selected the company Krome Services, won over by the rigorous business plan from cofounders Sandrine Tremblay and Myrielle Robitaille, two experienced engineers.

Krome knows heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems inside-out. The company specializes in the design and production of building mechanics solutions, providing innovative expertise to owners who want to improve the infrastructure and energy efficiency of their properties. Whether a building is multiresidential, institutional, industrial or commercial, Krome guarantees a reduction in energy costs of 25–50%. Thanks to this guarantee, along with the relevant subsidies, renovation projects thoroughly pay for themselves.

OSEntreprendre’s Montreal division is administered by the PME MTL network. A complete list of winners and their projects can be found on the network’s website at osentreprendre.pmemtl.com.

Druide informatique produces and markets Antidote, the most complete writing assistance software suite available for English and French, as well as Typing Pal, the renowned typing tutorial application. Druide is also the creator of WebElixir, a quality assurance service for websites, while its subsidiary, Éditions Druide, specializes in the publication of French-language literature and reference works.
