On April 29, Myo Devices was awarded the Druide Grand Prize for Business Creation at the Montréal region’s 28th OSEntreprendre Challenge Gala. The award, valued at over $10,000, includes a grant and various services to help grow the winning business. Druide also presented the six official category winners with a copy of Antidote Pro — Bilingual.

Druide informatique has partnered with the OSEntreprendre Challenge since 2012. The Druide Grand Prize is a result of this partnership and recognizes the top project out of all winners in the Business Creation section.

This year’s Challenge participants submitted more than 130 projects to this section, divided into six categories. Impressed by the simplicity and innovation of cofounders Elya Quesnel and Armand Bahabi’s product, the jury for the Druide Grand Prize for Business Creation picked Myo Devices from among the category winners.

Myo Devices aims to restore the independence of people with reduced mobility and to maximize their functional recovery. That’s why the company is developing an innovative mechanical device that transforms wheelchairs into personalized at-home rehabilitation platforms.

Druide informatique has been specializing in artificial intelligence and computational linguistics since 1993. The company produces and markets Antidote, the most comprehensive writing-assistance software available for English and French, as well as Typing Pal, the renowned typing-tutorial application. In addition to its software, Druide also publishes French-language literature and reference works through its subsidiary, Éditions Druide.
