Typing Pal — School Edition’s New Features for 2025

Druide informatique is pleased to announce the annual update of its web-based typing tutorial application for educational institutions, Typing Pal — School Edition. This year’s update introduces account provisioning and a customizable mode in the educational game Monkeys in Jeopardy. Druide has also implemented new measures to improve the security of the application.
Provisioning With ClassLink
A new database architecture enables Typing Pal to sync with provisioning platforms, which automate the processes of creating, editing and removing permissions, access and student accounts. Typing Pal has partnered with ClassLink—a widely used platform in North America. Other platforms will soon follow.
Custom Words in Monkeys in Jeopardy
Taking schools’ suggestions into consideration, Druide has added a Custom words mode to Monkeys in Jeopardy. Teachers can now customize the content to be typed in the game by adding personal word lists, such as weekly vocabulary or themed words related to a field trip, creating engaging content for students to learn how to both spell and type. This latest feature expands the game’s educational scope.
Typing Pal features three games so learners of all abilities can have fun while practising their technique. As users play through them in order, the number of keys engaged increases, as does the level of complexity: Cosmik Ball involves typing single characters, Monkeys in Jeopardy tests users on whole words that are now customizable, and Magical Duel conjures up phrases.
Continued Commitment to Security
Typing Pal complies with the most widely recognized standards for safeguarding personal information. Druide has therefore implemented new security measures, including procedures to counter potential credential stuffing attacks.
Educational institutions with Typing Pal subscriptions can enjoy these new features today, since they have just been rolled out globally. Except provisioning, they have also been added to Typing Pal’s Personal and Home Editions.
