Typing Pal — School Edition’s New Features for 2026

Druide informatique is pleased to announce the annual update of its web-based typing tutorial application for educational institutions, Typing Pal — School Edition. This year’s update substantially boosts the educational content: all activities are now offered in both English and French, and new training texts have been added. Typing Pal also introduces provisioning with Microsoft Entra ID and has made multi-factor authentication available in the management interface.

In English and French

The School Edition is now bilingual. Schools can assign either language to each student group for the keyboard, interface or learning activities. A single subscription includes all of Typing Pal’s educational content in English as well as in French at no extra cost.

Additional Training Texts: Poetry and Nursery Rhymes

Typing Pal’s activities add a poetic note with a new section of training texts. The selected excerpts were adapted with care to match students’ level. In the collection of easy texts, young students will recognize some classic nursery rhymes. Students who train with the collections of intermediate or difficult texts will come across an assortment of poems, including works by Shakespeare and Emily Dickinson.

Provisioning With Microsoft Entra ID

Last year, Typing Pal introduced provisioning with ClassLink. It has now made it available with Microsoft Entra ID as well. These services automatically synchronize a school’s user accounts with Typing Pal, so there is no more need to add or remove accounts manually or by importing lists.

Increased Security With Multi-Factor Authentication

In keeping with the most widely recognized standards for safeguarding personal information, Typing Pal can now require teacher, administrator and super administrator accounts to use multi-factor authentication (MFA). This extra verification step when logging in enhances account security and better protects student data.

Notification for Limited Edition Badges

Limited edition badges offer themed challenges at different times throughout the year. When a new badge is available, a notification pops up in Typing Pal explaining how to unlock it. With these new alerts, students will not miss out on adding rewards to their collection.

Educational institutions with Typing Pal subscriptions can enjoy these new features today, since they have just been rolled out globally. Access to bilingual content, poetry training texts and notifications for limited edition badges are also available with Typing Pal’s Personal and Home Editions.
