Druide Offers Antidote Web to Help Its Clients Working From Home

April 8, 2020 Press releases

Druide informatique is responding to requests for help from its multi-user clients by offering them Antidote’s cloud edition, whose release was planned for later this year, free of charge. Having received numerous requests from clients who are temporarily unable to access Antidote 10 due to the isolation measures, Druide put its team to work to allow those forced to work from home to once again have access to their writing assistance software.

“We’ve been receiving requests from our multi-user clients whose users are stuck at home and who don’t have access to their regular tools. Since Antidote is used by many businesses and educational institutions, we worked hard to put the finishing touches on Antidote Web in response to their requests,” explains André d’Orsonnens, Chairman and CEO of Druide.

“Antidote Web, the cloud edition, offers Antidote’s three renowned tools: the corrector, the dictionaries and the guides,” says Éric Brunelle, President of Druide and Antidote’s principal architect. “The main difference is that these tools will open in a Web browser instead of in Antidote 10’s usual windows. This way, Antidote Web can be run from any computer with a browser and Internet access, which is particularly useful for those working from home.”

Antidote Web’s tools can be run from most Web applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Hotmail, etc.) and the most popular tools for working remotely such as MS Teams, Slack and Skype. What’s more, when the freely downloadable Connectix tool is installed, Antidote Web can even correct texts in local applications such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Apple Mail and Pages. This way, Antidote users can enjoy efficient integration with both cloud and local applications.

“Our college has a license that allows us to install Antidote 10 on all our workstations,” says Alexandre Lupien, director of information technology at Collège Ahuntsic. “With the closure extended until May 1st, our staff and students have been unable to use Antidote, an important service for everyone. Thank you to Druide for this cloud subscription, which will be available to all 28,000 members of the Collège’s community.”

A subscription to Antidote’s cloud edition will be offered free of charge until June 30, 2020, to organizations holding a multi-user license for any edition of Antidote that includes a subscription to the Antidote Maintenance Program (AMP), as well as to institutions holding a School Site License. License administrators should contact Druide’s commercial department to take advantage of this offer.

Owners of single-user Antidote 10 licenses already enjoy the benefits of a free subscription to Antidote Web. This offer is now extended until June 30, 2020. Full details are available in the Customer Portal on druide.com.
